For many of the women who contact us here at The Female Sterilisation Reversal Clinic, age is a major factor in their decision to have the surgery or not. Many of them believe that once they’ve passed the age of 35, they are no longer candidates to have surgery for reversal of female sterilisation. However, as our own statistics have shown, this is not the case.
More and more often, women are becoming pregnant later in their lives. For many of them, this is due to personal preferences or changes in their circumstances. Many women put off having children because they want to focus on their careers while they are young.
Perhaps you are in your mid-thirties and you have questions about whether or not you would be able to have more children if you had female sterilisation reversal surgery. Our surgeon, Mr Clive Pickles, can order some tests that will give you a little bit more insight into your ability to have children. For many of our patients, Mr Pickles will order a blood test that gives him valuable insight into their fertility. This blood test will be ordered before the arrangements for your surgery are made.
If it is determined that you are still ovulating, your surgery can be scheduled. Keep in mind, however, depending on your age, you might not be ovulating every month. It might take you a little longer to conceive. After about six months, we can perform an additional test to check to be sure your fallopian tubes are patent, or open.
Each year, more and more women are approaching The Female Sterilisation Reversal Clinic with their dream of having another baby. Our success rates are rising every month, and we would love for you to become our newest success story!
